Alright! We are now back for another KG Collections Movie Recommendations. This time we will give you a list of 10 feel-good comedy movies that will surely trigger your happy hormones.
These movies are perfect every time you feel stressed or sad or if you just want to relax and have fun. We will be excluding animation movies from this list. Because we will be focusing on adult senses of humor, and we will be compiling movies that are duology/trilogy so that we won’t miss one. That being said, let’s get down to it!

10 Feel-Good Movies That Will Trigger Your Happy Hormones
1. Shaolin Soccer & Kungfu Hustle (Stephen Chow Duology)
We will start with Stephen Chow’s Movie Iconic Movies, These duology became so popular when I was in high school. It was directed and starred by Stephen Chow himself.
What did we like about this movie?
Shaolin Soccer and Kungfu Hustle are martial arts movies as you can see on their titles. However, they are not your typical martial arts movies because Stephen Chow mixed his movies with slapstick comedy with visual enhancements resulting in a cartoonish live-action movie.
2. The Hangover Trilogy
The hangover trilogy was directed by Todd Phillips who is also known for the Joker (2019) movie which was starred Joaquin Phoenix. This trilogy delivered a matured sense of humor, a dark comedy about getting drunk and getting high, and a bunch of weird but funny scenes.
What did we like about this movie?
The concept of this movie is unique for a comedy genre, imagine putting the amnesia concept in an aftermath of partying. And the characters are entertaining. Surely it’s worth watching.
3. Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World’s End (The Cornetto Trilogy)
Edgar Wright is a well-known director because of his works on the movies such as Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010), Baby Driver (2017), and many more.
However, there are three movies that made him known. And those are Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and World’s End also known as the “Cornetto Trilogy“.
What did we like about this movie?
The Cornetto trilogy is three movies that are starred, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. We loved it because of how the three movies are written and its concept is unique.
Even the critics of the three films loved them so much and made wonderful reviews about them. And lastly, We loved how Edgar Wright slips in the “Cornetto” cameos in the three movies.
Now that you knew about the cornetto cameos, will you be able to notice them too in the movie?
4. Due Date
Here is another Todd Phillips Film, starred by Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis. An adventure movie of the sort that will offer you some good laughs because of the storyline and the characters involved in the movie.
What did we like about this movie?
It’s a Todd Phillips Film and Robert Downey Jr. plus the goofiness of Zach Galifianakis is in it. What more can you ask for?
5. Yes Man
We can argue that Jim Carrey is one of the successful comedians in Hollywood. And his life story on how he started as a comedian and actor is inspiring.
Anyhow, Yes Man is directed by Peyton Reed (Director of Antman Franchise) and it was starred by Jim Carrey together with Bradley Cooper and Zooey Deschanel. A comedy movie with a little bit of a love story and about opportunities in life. Truly it is entertaining.
What did we like about this movie?
Yes Man is not that typical Jim Carrey movie where he displays his goofiness in the character he portrays. This movie offers comedy, romance, and friendship.
However, what we loved about this movie is the lesson about its story of how you should make decisions in life. That good thing comes to those who say “Yes” to opportunity. But in this movie, it became too much though, and it is hilarious.
6. Absolutely Anything
Another movie starred by Simon Pegg in our list together with Kate Beckinsale. Ever wonder? What will you do if a bunch of aliens decided to test mankind due to the bad things that we did in the past? And they choose you to be the test subject if are you going to abuse the magnificent power that they’ve bestowed upon you.
Well that the story of this movie. Simon Pegg was chosen by aliens to test humanity if we are greedy of power and tend to abuse if we are bestowed by a power that can do absolutely anything? Yes! this is a fantasy movie with a hilarious comedy twist.
What did we like about this movie?
The story and the concept are hilarious and Simon Pegg is perfect for the character he portrays. And the most we liked about this movie is that this is the final film that Robin Williams took part in before he passed away. A last comedy token from the great Robin Williams.
7. Tag
Next on our feel-good movie list is Tag. Who would’ve thought that this is inspired by true events? A group of grown men who play Tag every May up to the first of June each year. You might think that this is just a boring movie but it’s not. You will love it!
What did we like about this movie?
We liked this movie aside from its comedy, is the story itself. A story about friendship and letting lose the inner child within you. Who cares if you still play and have fun even if you are already a grownup, there is no rule about something as long as it will make you happy.
We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.
8. Crazy, Stupid, Love
We can argue that Steve Carell is one of the greatest actors in Hollywood because he can do comedy and drama. The man proves how versatile his acting skills are. This movie is all about relationships, and how fate intertwines characters that we meet in our life. That what matters in life is we stay connected to the ones we love and continue to improve our relationships.
What did we like about this movie?
At first, we thought that this is just an ordinary romantic comedy movie but as the story progresses it will show you its uniqueness. The twist and turns and the engagement of characters that is very easy to relate with. And the moral of the story is very sweet, this movie is perfect if you want to hang out with your partner/spouse.
9. Bruce Almighty
The last Jim Carrey movie that was made on our list together with Morgan Freeman and Jennifer Aniston, they’ve managed to make this movie so engaging to the audience and is relatable in real life.
What did we like about this movie?
Bruce Almighty delivers comedy, life lessons, and romantic love stories altogether in one movie. We loved how the story is so relatable for audiences, as we tend to question god’s existence every time we encounter challenges in our life or if we do not get what we want.
We are always hoping for miracles to happen, but in reality, we can be the miracle if we do good things for the world we live in and for the people around us. A simple way by just helping other people can always make a difference.
10. 21 Jumpstreet & 22 Jumpstreet
Last on our list for the feel-good movies and we cannot exclude these duology that exceeded that expectation of critics when it comes to remaking movies. The Jumpstreet movies originated from a TV series in the ’80s which was starred, Johnny Depp.
A lot of critics didn’t expect that Christopher Miller who directed the two movies was able to pull off and make the two movies to be successful. Well of course thanks to the main cast Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum, their chemistry as buddies are perfect, plus the badass-always-mad-impression of Ice Cube, definitely it is one hilarious movie!
What did we like about this movie?
What we loved about the two movies is that how the friendship of the two characters progresses from the first movie up to the second. Their characters are relatable and engaging. Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum are hilarious in these movies. So if you haven’t watched it yet, better do it now.
