Bucket List Travel Greenland

Why include it in your Bucket List Travel?

Last on our list of Best places that you should include in your bucket list travel is Greenland, the world’s largest island! Greenland is located between the Arctic and Atlantic oceans, east of the Canadian Arctic Archipelago. Greenland is also an autonomous territory of the Kingdom of Denmark.

Most people don’t know that Greenland’s economy is doing good for the past few years. According to NPR.org in their article in 2016, the average earning per household in Greenland is about $33,000 which is about 1.5 Million Philippine Peso a year. That is a pretty good earning if you ask me. Since Greenland’s cost of living is not that much compared to the USA’s.

Most of us probably think that Greenland is pure ice, actually, Greenland is purely green all around, it is just some parts are covered by ice depending on how close the location to the arctic archipelago and winter season. So better bring thick clothes and winter-type apparel because it kinda cold in Greenland.

Conclusions

We should travel every once in a while to connect with nature and appreciate how beautiful our world is. We are living a life full of stress and anxiety due to unfortunate events that have occurred lately.

Somehow it teaches us to value and appreciate our life while we still can since our life is just borrowed from our creators. Hence, we should not waste it on negative things and doing evil deeds. Rather, we should focus on having a happy life and explore the greatness our world has to offer.

Our life is too short to live unhappy and full of regret, that is why bucket list travel is made. So that we can list down our dream places that we wanted to visit in the future if we can.

In one of the movies that we mentioned in our previous blog about the 10 Inspiring Movies, we mentioned the movie Hector and the search for Happiness. Hector went on an adventure to find the secrets on how to live a happy life and what are the factors contributing to it.

It was mentioned there that…

“We have an obligation to be happy”.

Hector and the search for happiness

It was also even mentioned in an article by Erica Jackson Curran about Why planning a trip can your mental health in National Geographic.

Some psychologists tout the mental benefits of vacationing somewhere new. One 2013 survey of 485 adults in the U.S. linked travel to enhanced empathy, attention, energy, and focus. Other research suggests that the act of adapting to foreign cultures may also facilitate creativity.

Erica Jackson Curran, National Geographic

Being happy will come from our efforts by appreciating or experiencing something that can help us be happy. And somehow, doing travels and visiting other places contributes to that as well.

That is why we wanted to share this with you so that you too can consider and add these mentioned places to your bucket list travel, and hopefully, someday you will be able to go and visit these places because they will surely give you an extraordinary experience that will your mental health, appreciate life and the world, and it will definitely make you happy.

Just always remember that when you are traveling regardless if by group or solo, it is always advisable to stay wary in your surroundings and always research about the country or place that you are about to visit.

Because it is a simple way to show respect for the religion and culture of the locals of the place. And most of all, use common sense. For example, if you are planning to visit a Muslim/Mediterranean country, be reminded of their culture on women wearing “Too Revealing” clothes as they might misinterpret it for “seeking for attention”.

That is why always make some research about the cultural backgrounds of the places in your bucket list travel, just to make sure that you will avoid any misunderstandings with the locals. That being said, we hoped that you liked this blog. Feel free to share this with your friends and family members who love to travel or for those who are planning to travel this year.
